Abby Blough holds her BSC in Psychology from the University of Calgary and her Child Development Worker certificate. Abby has been in the child care and education field for 16 years. She began her journey with the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area as the Program Coordinator working with children ages 5-17 and is now in her twelfth year with Footsteps Preschool. Abby grew up in Cochrane and is still living in town with her husband and two young children. She has a passion for the environment; this involves enjoying it through hiking, camping, swimming, and snowboarding as well as encouraging and teaching those around her to care for the environment. She loves to help young children explore their interests and learn to love learning. She loves to share stories and so many songs with the children throughout their day. Happy people sing! She comes from a long line of teachers, including her mother who inspired her career choice. It is her smiling face that will greet the children each Tuesday and Thursday morning and afternoon.

Whitney Stuart holds her certificate as a Child Development Worker and is working on achieving her Child Development Supervisor certificate currently. Whitney has been working with young children for 6 years and has a background working as an aid for children with speech delays and learning disabilities. She has been with Footsteps since 2013 and enjoys getting to know each of her children and their individual needs in the classroom to promote their growth and confidence. Whitney lives in Calgary and enjoys staying active all through the year. Her favourite activities include yoga, hiking and snowboarding. She shares this love of activity with all of her students, getting outside the classroom as often as possible to enjoy the beautiful courtyard of the Ranchehouse. She looks forward to getting to know you and your child over the school year! It is her smiling face that will greet the children each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning and afternoon.
